"In a hole in the ground there lived a rabbit. What is a rabbit? A rabbit ( Bunihopus bobtelus) is a small white mammal that loves good food and is anxious when it is late for appointments. This particular rabbit was off on an adventure in the forest. He planned to wander around for a few years and return home and write a book. There And Back Again: The Adventures of One Rabbit, he planned to call it. He popped out of his burrow and looked around, sniffing the air delicately."
or this little gem, something that could easily pass off for a subtle jab at world politics, but:
"Two words I hate are Good and Evil. Try not to use them, Aswin. They are words for fanatics, not for people of sense and reason ... You have been told, I am sure, that Good always triumphs over Evil. What generally happens is that the losers are called evil after the war is over."finally, my personal favourite,
"The Bard of Potolpur said of heros: `Some die mediocre, some lose their mediocrity and some have their mediocrity removed forcefully'"
So, if you are in India, look for the Simoqin Prophecies by Penguin. If you are not in India, ask someone who is and then goto step 1, mail, fedex etc. . I don't think that there is any non Indian release on the works just yet.
The book in question finally is now on its way to oldhen, just about 4 months late. I really need to get my act together and remember stuff, sigh.
