If there ever was a coming out party for the Indian Blogsphere (uggh), it is upon us now. I've seen articles and adverts from IIPM, I remember noticing them as they gave me a vague sense of unease. Something did not fit. Now things seem to make more sense.
Turns out that Jam the student mag, took IIPM to task. And Gaurav Sabnis linked to the article. The next thing, IIPM sends a notarized email (:o) asking him to back down. When he doesn't, he gets a stalker (among other blogs) that spring up attacking Rashmi (editor of Jam) and Gaurav. And then enough pressure is brought to bear on IBM that Gaurav resigns.
If there was ever a time that the newspapers and magazines did not do their homework (the IIPM's advertising budget being pretty huge may be an interesting leverage point) and the blogsphere came out and did something, let this be it.
